At Wa + Sabi, we understand that life happens — sudden changes, unexpected events, or a simple shift in plans. While we’d love to welcome you as originally scheduled, we’re here to support flexibility with a gentle and respectful policy.
⌘ If You Need to Reschedule or Cancel
We do not charge a cancellation/rescheduling fee — instead, we kindly ask for understanding that each class involves early preparation, ingredient sourcing, and setup. If you need to cancel/reschedule within 5 days of your scheduled class, a ¥2,000 food preparation fee will apply.
At least 5 days’ notice is required for all rescheduling requests.
- More than 5 days’ notice: You can reschedule for free. We will simply move your full payment to your new date.
- Within 5 days’ notice: A ¥2,000 Ingredient Replacement Fee may be requested to cover the extra preparation and new ingredients required for your future date.
- NB: Your newly requested date must be at least 5 days from the date of notification to allow for proper preparation.
Each booking involves third-party processing fees that are not returned to us by the provider. If you need to cancel, the following applies:
- Cancellation more than 5 days before your class: Refund of the full amount minus a standard 4% processing fee (to cover non-refundable PayPal transaction costs).
- Cancellation within 5 days of your class: Refund of the full amount minus a standard 4% processing fee, and minus a ¥2,000 preparation fee.
- Same-day cancellations or No-shows: Full charge (no refund).

⌘ Can Someone Take Your Place?
Yes! If you’re unable to attend but can send someone in your place, no fees will apply. Just let us know their name and contact info in advance so we can welcome them properly.
⌘ We’d Hate for You to Miss the Fun!
We truly hope you’ll come back and join us another time. Whether you’re rescheduling right away or waiting for your next perfect moment, we look forward to sharing the stories and flavors of the Japanese kitchen with you.
Thank you for your kind understanding and support of my small studio.
Warmly,
Kaori @ Wa + Sabi
